Are hydration vests helpful for long runs?

Long runs can be tough, especially when it comes to staying hydrated. I’ve noticed more runners wearing hydration vests lately, which has me wondering if they’re worth the investment, even if you’re not training for a full marathon but still tackling those longer distances.

I’m considering trying one for my weekend runs. Having easy access to water and snacks sounds great, but I’m curious about their comfort during a run. Do they bounce around? Do they fit snugly? How easy is it to drink from them without disrupting my pace?

Has anyone made the switch to a hydration vest? What has been your experience, and do you think it’s a game-changer for hydration? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
