How does physical activity boost mental health?

Have you ever felt stuck in a low mood or anxious? It’s a common experience, and I’ve personally found that adding physical activity to my routine really helps. Whether it’s a relaxing yoga session or just a quick walk around Denver, moving my body definitely lifts my spirits and helps clear my head.

Research shows that exercise releases endorphins—those wonderful feel-good hormones—and can really lower stress. It’s amazing how just a little stretching or some time outdoors can change your mood. I’ve been trying to pay more attention to how even small movements impact my mental clarity and overall mindset.

For those of you on a wellness journey, what types of physical activities have you found most helpful for your mental health? Do you have any routines that keep you feeling grounded?
