How long should I wait after eating before exercising?

I often find myself wondering how long I should wait after eating before hitting the gym. I’ve come across a lot of mixed advice—some say just half an hour is fine, while others suggest waiting up to two hours. It’s pretty confusing, and I want to ensure I’m not jeopardizing my workout or my digestion.
