Is it okay to eat before a massage?

I’m sure many of us have wondered about the best way to approach eating prior to a massage. I recently faced this dilemma myself: I had a massage scheduled for the afternoon, but I typically get quite hungry around lunchtime. I was curious whether I could enjoy a light meal without it negatively impacting my massage experience.

I’ve come across mixed advice on this topic. Some people believe that eating beforehand can cause discomfort during the session, while others suggest that a small, healthy snack might actually help with relaxation. It seems that both the type of food and the timing of the meal are important factors to consider.

For those of you who have been in a similar situation, what do you recommend? Have you discovered any specific foods that work well, or do you prefer to go in on an empty stomach? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
