What role does physical activity play in your mental health?

I’ve been diving into some studies about the connection between physical activity and mental health, and it’s got me thinking about how this looks in real life. Living in Sydney, I’ve been sticking to low-impact workouts like Pilates, especially since I’ve found that calm mornings really set a positive tone for my day. Lately, I’ve noticed that when I stay consistent with my routine, my mood lifts and I feel more focused.

I’m curious if others have had similar experiences. Do certain types of exercise help elevate your mood or relieve stress? Also, how do you gauge your body’s needs when it comes to balancing workout intensity with mental well-being?
